Speculations were rife that the Business Mogul was admitted in ICU.
playChris Kirubi (Twitter )Billionaire Chris Kirubi has flown to the US for specialised treatment after receiving medication for the last two weeks in Kenya.
The news was confirmed by CEO James Mworia through a memo sent to the staff but failed to disclose where the business mogul was ailing from.
Speaking to Business Daily, Mworia dispelled rumours circulating on social media that the business tycoon was in critical condition.
The Centum CEO stated that Kirubu was in good condition and was never in the ICU at any time as earlier reports indicated.
"Dr Kirubi… travelled to the United States for further investigations on Monday.
“Instead, Dr Kirubi, whom I spent time with on Monday and saw off at the airport, and have spoken to on multiple occasions since, remains in good spirits and actively engaged on business matters in his usual endearing fashion,” Mr Mworia said.
Mr Kirubi owns several companies in Kenya both public and private.
